How often is the class held? What are the timings?
The live version of the class is held a few times a year, always at 7:00 PM CST, typically on a weekday. Each session runs for about 80 minutes.
How is the date of the live class determined?
A live session is scheduled after atleast 10 signups occur. The people who have signed up are given multiple dates to select from, and a date that works for everyone is selected.
What does the class fee cover?
Your class fee includes:
- Attendance at one live 80-minute Zoom session, with 15-20 mins for questions.
- Access to two recordings:
- The previous month’s session (available immediately after payment).
- The session you attend live (shared afterward for review).
- A one-time redeemable 1 month of free support on the Trading with Smarts Discord.
- Even if you sign up for both classes at once, you still receive one month of free Discord access.
What is the process after signing up?
Once you register, you’ll be redirected to a page with further instructions.
The sequence after payment is:
- Prepare – Follow the setup instructions (such as brokerage accounts).
- Join the WhatsApp chat provided on the Instructions page: In this chat, you provide your email to get access to the previous session's recording, and can ask Jaya questions about the process. Zoom links for the next live class will be shared in this chat.
- Learn from the past session – Watch the recording of the previous class.
- Engage on Discord – Join the community, ask questions, and begin learning in real time.
- Attend the live class – Join the scheduled session and receive its recording afterward.
This sequence is designed to repeat and reinforce complex concepts, helping you absorb the material fully.
What if I can’t attend the live session I paid for?
No problem! You will:
- Receive the recording of the missed session, and
- Be offered the chance to attend the next live session in person.
If the 7 PM CST time doesn’t work for you, you may also schedule a brief 10-minute Q&A session with Jaya after you’ve watched the recording.
Which class is right for me as an absolute newbie?
If you’re brand new to investing or trading, start with the Long-Term Investing Class.
- Investing is a foundation everyone should use to grow their net worth steadily over time.
- The Short-Term Trading Class introduces advanced concepts and is not ideal as a first step.
After you’ve absorbed the material from the Long-Term class, you can decide if you’d like to explore short-term trading. Not everyone is a good fit—it depends on your interest, available time, and willingness to understand this complex area.
Which class is right for me if I already have some experience?
Even experienced investors often report gaining new insights from the Long-Term Investing Class.
If you’re a trader with some background but lack deep knowledge of concepts like:
- Indicators
- Support and resistance levels
- Reading technical charts
- Float, volume, offerings, dilution
- Shorting and short squeezes
…then the Short-Term Trading Class will be especially valuable, as it covers all of these in depth.
TL;DR: Taking both classes sets you up to become a stronger investor and trader, even if you already have prior experience.
What happens after my one month of free Discord support ends?
After your free period, you can continue to have access after signing up for the Discord membership.
Can the Discord be cancelled anytime?
Yes. You can cancel renewal for the next month at any time through your Profile page by using the dropdown.
How do I access my course materials, and do I need a Discord account to sign up? Accessing your course recordings is now completely automated through our website's secure member portal. A Discord account is not required to purchase a class or view your materials.
